After having collected your luggage from the belt you walk out of the arrival hall. Outside, your driver is waiting for you to drive you to your hotel.

Besides the unique Komodo dragons and the rugged landscape, the national park is also known as one of the best dive locations in the world. It is a UNESCO world heritage, situated between Sumbawa and Flores and consists of 3 larger islands: Komodo, Rinca and Padar, as well as numerous smaller ones. From pristine corals, mantas, sharks, turtles, dolphins, dugongs and giant pelagic animals to tiny pygmy seahorses, nudibranchs, shrimps and frog fishes, you’ll find the diversity of marine life inspiring. Komodo’s beaches, blue lagoons teeming with fish and some of the most spectacular underwater landscapes attract divers from all over the world. The underwater topography is as diverse as the marine life. Dive sites vary from gentle slopes to walls, channels, flat bottoms, pinnacles, overhangs and caves covered by hundreds of different species of hard and soft corals. This location is known for strong current, if you’re an advanced and adventurous diver, you can test your mettle here. But if you prefer calm and relaxed dives, we choose beautiful and sheltered reefs. Komodo National Park has it all!

The morning is nice and relaxed, after breakfast you have got a few hours for yourself before you are taken to the airport. At approximately 13:00 you fly with Garuda to Bali. At the airport your bus is ready to take you to your resort in Candidasa.

These days you can go diving at Candidasa. Candidasa and Padangbai offer fantastic dive sites for both beginners, and certainly for experienced divers. From Candidasa we primarily use the PADI certified Gangga divers. Our starting point is the Puri Wirata diving resort, with its own diving school. Dives at Candidasa cost around € 50. Rental diving equipment about € 30 per day and a PADI Open water course approximately € 450. A cheaper option is a combination at Lotus bungalows and Villa Almarak on Gili Trawangan. Such a combination with 9 overnight stays and 12 boat dives comes to a total of around € 1.100 per person.

There is nothing on the program today. You can laze by the pool or on the beach. Candidasa has a pleasant street with nice shops and restaurants. Or take an excursion to Besakih, the mother temple of Bali, go rafting on the Tegala Waja river or visit the nearby water palace.

Well in advance, about 3 hours before the departure of your flight, your driver picks you up for your transfer to the airport.
