Harau
The Harau valley or canyon is a piece of relatively flat land, surrounded by 100 meter high steep rocky walls and many, many waterfalls. The canyon is excellent for beautiful walks through the rice fields, nature and friendly little villages, with idyllic swimming and bathing-conditions under the waterfalls.
Harau has two simple homestays, but is also easily accessible from Bukittinggi in about one hour by car.
