Patuno resort Wakatobi
The Patuno resort is a great place for both divers and non-divers to enjoy the beauty of the Wakatobi Islands.
With 69 rooms spread over standard, Deluxe and suites it is wonderfully organized. We do not recommend the standard rooms, they are housed in a separate building, at least a 10 minute walk from the restaurant and reception.
The resort is of course beach-front and a half hour drive from the airport. The resort has its own diving center. Swim or snorkel directly in the sea is only possible at high tide.
In October 2016, Merapi went on an inspection trip to Patuno to tell from its own experience about restaurant, accommodation, snorkeling and diving opportunities.
The restaurant has a reasonable menu and you can always order something special (for example lobster or red snapper) for the next day. Diving is fantastic; the dive resort is well equipped. The Deluxe cottages are neat and clean. The suites over priced and the standard rooms very far away in a separate building.
