De Kei eilanden zijn een eilandengroep in de Molukken. Het is dunbevolkt en nog zeer primitief. Op sommige eilanden zijn de dorpjes slechts met voetpaden met elkaar verbonden. Tijdens deze bouwsteen ziet u het prachtige eiland Kei Kecil en heeft u alle mogelijkheid om ook de andere eilanden te bezichtigen. Houdt u niet van een al te druk schema, dan is deze bouwsteen ook zeer geschikt want er is voldoende vrije tijd om te ontspannen op de schitterende stranden in de omgeving.

Dag 1 Van Ambon naar Kei Kecil

Late afternoon Garuda flight from Ambon to Tual at Kai Kecil. Your driver is stand by to bring you to your accommodation. On the way to the hotel, you can stop at the tourist office to book optional excursions on the spot. Arriving at Coaster cottages, located at the famous white sandy Pasir Panjang beach, you will be welcomed by Ketty and her staff. Remainder of the day at leisure.

Dag 2 Kei Kecil eilandtour

Vandaag maken we de Kei Kecil eilandtour. We bezoeken onder anderen de Pelgrimtuin John Aerts, hier wordt de geschiedenis van het pelgrimage op de Kei eilanden uitgebeeld. Vervolgens brengen we een bezoek aan Masbait, vanaf hier heeft u een prachtig panoramisch uitzicht over de eilanden. Na van dit uitzicht te hebben genoten gaan we verder naar de markt van Tual, daarna de Hawang grot en we eindigen de dag op het Difur strand waar u kunt ontspannen.

Dag 3 en 4 Vrije dagen op Kei

Deze dagen zijn vrij te besteden. In overleg met een lokale gids van de plaatselijke VVV kunt u optioneel excursies doen op de eilanden Kei Kecil en Kei Besar, of naar de omliggende eilanden. Bijvoorbeeld naar Tanimbar Kei, met haar traditionele architectuur. Of naar Banda Ely, waar veel vluchtelingen van Banda hun cultuur nog volledig in stand houden. Ook brengt uw gids u uiteraard graag naar de mooiste snorkelplekken.

Dag 5 Terug naar Ambon

Coaster Cottages - Kei kecil

The Coaster Cottages are a number of cottages and a stone villa, located on the white beach of Pasir Panjang. All have a veranda overlooking the sea. You have no hot water at your disposal here. Even more restrictions that benefit your rest: mobile telephony is very limited, the internet even more limited. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be ordered on the spot (against payment). Tual - Kei Kecil

The Kei islands Kei Besar and Kei Kecil (big and small Kei) have different monsoons than those on Ambon.
The rainy season starts in mid-November and runs to April-May.

The Kei Islands are an archipelago in the Moluccas. It is sparsely populated and very primitive. On some islands the villages are only connected by footpaths. The islands mainly offer tranquility. There is not much to see or do. Relaxing is the favorite activity of travelers visiting Kei. You can snorkel and there is even a diving center since 2017.

Pasir Panjang has a flour white beach. You will find our favorite Coaster Cottages along the beach. An island tour takes you past the Pilgrim Garden John Aerts, the large Jesus statue on Masbait Hill, the natural Evu pool with spring and the Hawang cave.

Langur airport has daily flights to Ambon.
