Bouwsteen 5 dagen Kei eilanden

De Kei eilanden zijn een eilandengroep in de Molukken. Het is dunbevolkt en nog zeer primitief. Op sommige eilanden zijn de dorpjes slechts met voetpaden met elkaar verbonden. Tijdens deze bouwsteen ziet u het prachtige eiland Kei Kecil en heeft u alle mogelijkheid om ook de andere eilanden te bezichtigen. Houdt u niet van een al te druk schema, dan is deze bouwsteen ook zeer geschikt want er is voldoende vrije tijd om te ontspannen op de schitterende stranden in de omgeving.

Dag 1 Van Ambon naar Kei Kecil

After breakfast transfer to Ambon airport for your 09:30am Lion Air flight to Langgur on Kei Kecil island. Your driver and guide wait for you at the exit. During a coffee break on the way to your hotel, discuss the program for the upcoming days. Around lunchtime arrive at your hotel or guesthouse. Afternoon free for leisure. Optional, you can book a snorkel tour from your guesthouse or hotel.

Dag 2 Kei Kecil tour

After breakfast a half hour drive to Letvuan village to visit the Goa Hawang cave. The fresh water invites you to take a bath, or just visiting the site and making pictures. A better bath can be taken at the Kolam Pemandian Evu, a fresh water pool, fed by a source. Continue to the harbour of Debut for a boat trip to Pulau Ngurtavur island, also known as snake island. During low tide, the sandbanks are connected and looks like a snake. During the months of October till December, Pelicans will stay around the white beach of the island… You might swim here also, but for snorkeling, it is not the right spot. On the way back to Kei Kecil you will visit a pearl farm.

Dag 3 Kei Kecil tour (2)

After breakfast a short drive to Kelanit Hill, where you can enjoy the magnificent panorama and see Bukit Masbait, a big statue of Jesus Christ, overlooking the Kei islands. Another short ride to Langgur to visit the Johannes Aerts Pilgrimage. It is the place to recall the sacrifice of Johannes Aerts and other pastors of Catholic Church in Langgur. From Langgur another small ride to the harbour of Dullah where a local wooden boat will bring you to Bair island, also called Little Raja Ampat because of the karst rock formation in clear blue waters. You might have a swim, but better wait for the boat trip to the small Pulau Adranan island where you will enjoy your lunch and have time to relax and snorkel. Back to your hotel in the afternoon.

Dag 4 Vrije dagen op Kei

This day is free for leisure. You can ask your host to book a snorkel excursion or boat trip to one of the small islands around Kei Kecil.

Dag 5 Terug naar Ambon

Early morning flight from Ambon to Tual at Kai Kecil. Your driver is stand by to bring you to your accommodation. On the way to the hotel, you can stop at the tourist office to book optional excursions on the spot. Arriving at Coaster cottages, located at the famous white sandy Pasir Panjang beach, you will be welcomed by Ketty and her staff. Remainder of the day at leisure.

Coaster Cottages - Kei kecil

The Coaster Cottages are a number of cottages and a stone villa, located on the white beach of Pasir Panjang. All have a veranda overlooking the sea. You have no hot water at your disposal here. Even more restrictions that benefit your rest: mobile telephony is very limited, the internet even more limited. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be ordered on the spot (against payment). Tual - Kei Kecil

The Kei islands Kei Besar and Kei Kecil (big and small Kei) have different monsoons than those on Ambon.
The rainy season starts in mid-November and runs to April-May.

The Kei Islands are an archipelago in the Moluccas. It is sparsely populated and very primitive. On some islands the villages are only connected by footpaths. The islands mainly offer tranquility. There is not much to see or do. Relaxing is the favorite activity of travelers visiting Kei. You can snorkel and there is even a diving center since 2017.

Pasir Panjang has a flour white beach. You will find our favorite Coaster Cottages along the beach. An island tour takes you past the Pilgrim Garden John Aerts, the large Jesus statue on Masbait Hill, the natural Evu pool with spring and the Hawang cave.

Langur airport has daily flights to Ambon.
